A violent crash left a male passenger and a toddler dead, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to the California Post.

The incident occurred early Sunday morning when a vehicle traveling southbound on Vista Del Mar in Playa Del Rey crossed into the northbound lanes, triggering a two-vehicle collision.

Authorities said the cause of the lane crossover remains under investigation, and no further details were immediately available.

The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. in the 6800 block of Vista Del Mar near Culver Boulevard. Responding officers pronounced the front-seat passenger dead at the scene.

A 28-year-old Hispanic male, a juvenile, and a toddler were transported to a nearby hospital. The toddler was later pronounced dead.
